Ron Jepson: President

Ron was born near Manchester, England, and came out to Washington with his parents when he was seventeen.  He graduated from Roosevelt High School in Seattle and attended the University of Washington.  He graduated with a Bachelors and Masters degree in Civil Engineering and is licensed in Washington as a Professional Engineer and Land Surveyor.

After spending three years as the Assistant City Engineer of Bellingham, he opened his own engineering practice in Bellingham, January 1968.  Ron laid out Sandy Point Heights, Neptune Heights and Sandy Point Arm and performed all Engineering and Surveying for those developments.

Ron’s company currently employs twelve engineers, surveyors and support staff.

He purchased the central, undeveloped portion of Sandy Point west of the canal in 1994 from the original developers, who were his clients.  Since that time, he along with the rest of the disenfranchised property owners at Sandy Point has been waiting for the water moratorium to be lifted.  Ron is serving his third term on the SPIC Board as an “at large candidate,” and is currently the board president.

He is married to Shelley and has five children, three older and two now in their twenties and attending Western Washington University.

Now that the marina has been replaced, my primary objective while on the board is to settle the moratorium issue with the State and provide all property tax paying shareholders the ability to build on their property.  Nineteen years is way to long!
